Refreshing lemon sorbet recipe with the Ninja Creami machine.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 6 lemons)
    Zest of 2 lemons
    3/4 cup water
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    3 shots of water

Instructions

  • In the saucepan, combine the water and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  •  Mix fresh lemon juice and lemon zest into the simple syrup once it has cooled. Mix everything.
  • Pour the mixture into your Ninja Creami container.
  • Leave to freeze for 24 hours.
  • Mix with the Sorbet option. Once the cycle is complete, open the lid and add the 3 shots of water and run a re-spin cycle until you obtain a creamy texture.
  • Serve in bowls or cones.

Notes

  • For more fantasy, you can add a drop of limoncello to the mixture
  • Change the sweetness and acidity by changing the amounts of sugar and lemon juice. Sweeten with the sweetening agent of your choice: brown sugar, agave syrup, maple syrup, sweetener…
  • If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the lemon mixture before churning to remove the pulp and zest.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves or lemon zest before serving for an extra touch of elegance.
