The blackberry coulis, with its soft and tangy flavor, is a perfect addition to an ice cream. It goes particularly well with creamy ice creams such as vanilla, yogurt or chocolate ice cream. Easy to prepare, this coulis brings a nice touch of freshness to your desserts.

Ingredients :

  • 300 g of fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 50 g of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of water

Preparation :

  1. Prepare the blackberries
if you use fresh blackberries, start by rinse them gently. If they are frozen, let them thaw slightly.
  2. Cook the blackberries
put the blackberries in a small saucepan with the sugar, water and lemon juice. Heat over medium heat and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring regularly, until the blackberries are very tender and begin to decompose.
  3. Mixing and filtering
mixes the mixture with a plunging blender or in a blender until you get a smooth texture. If you prefer a very fluid coulis, then pass it to sieve to remove the seeds and obtain an even softer texture.
  4. Let cool
let the coulis cool before pouring it into an airtight pot. It keeps in the refrigerator for about a week.

My Personal Tip:

This blackberry coulis is incredible on yogurt or vanilla ice cream. Personally, I also like to use it on a dark chocolate ice cream, the mixture of the acidity of the blackberries and the intensity of the chocolate is just perfect. And if you want to go even further, try to marble it in your mirror before turbine it with the Ninja Creami ... It's a real treat!
