Maracuja coulis (passion fruit) for ninja creami ice cream
Do you want to add an exotic touch to your ice cream? The maracuja, or passion fruit, is the star of tropical fruits with its tangy and sweet taste that awakens the taste buds. This coulis is perfect for coating homemade ice cream made with the Ninja Creami. In addition, its beautiful bright yellow color and its slightly grainy texture make it an irresistible addition to your frozen creations!

Ingredients :
- 4 maracujas (passion fruit)
- 50 g of sugar (or adjust according to the softness you prefer)
- 50 ml of water
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (optional, for a tangy boost)
Preparation :
- Prepare the maracuja
cuts the maracujas in half and takes the pulp with a spoon. The texture may seem strange if you have never worked with it, but believe me, it's an explosion of flavors with each spoon. Do not get rid of small seeds, they add a pretty crunch in the coulis. - Cooking the coulis
put the maracuja pulp in a small saucepan with water and sugar. Heat over low heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. If you want a slightly less acidic coulis, you can add a little more sugar, but I love this contrast between sweet and tart. If you want an even more intense taste, add a little touch of lemon juice! - Mixing or not?
If you prefer a smooth coulis, you can mix the mixture and filter it through a colander to remove the seeds. Personally, I love keeping the seeds for this crunchy little texture which brings real originality to the coulis. You can decide according to your taste! - Let cool
once the coulis has thickened well and the flavors have developed, remove the pan from the heat and let cool at room temperature. This coulis keeps in the fridge in an airtight pot for a good week (if you don't finish it before!).

My Personal Tip:
This maracuja coulis is absolutely perfect for coating a vanilla ice cream or a mango sorbet made with the Ninja Creami. If you really want to accentuate the tropical side, try it on a coconut ice cream or a pineapple sorbet, it's pure happiness! And for an even more fun touch, you can even use it to marble your frozen creations before turbine them in the Ninja Creami.
This is a simple way to add an exotic touch to your frozen desserts with this maracuja coulis. Its intense taste and its unique texture will make your Ninja Creami ice creams real tropical works, perfect for a taste trip without leaving the house!
