The maracuja, or passion fruit, is a tropical fruit that is both sweet and tangy. This coulis is perfect for coating your ice creams made with the Ninja Creami. Its beautiful bright yellow color and its refreshing taste will make your frozen desserts with real works of tropical art.

Ingredients :

  • 4 maracujas (passion fruit)
  • 50 g of sugar (or adjust according to your taste)
  • 50 ml of water
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (optional, for more acidity)

Preparation :

  1. Prepare the maracuja
cuts the maracujas in half and takes the pulp with a spoon. You can keep the seeds if you like a little texture, or remove them by filtering the pulp through a colander.
  2. Heat the mixture,
put the maracuja pulp in a small saucepan with water, sugar and lemon juice (if you like more acid sluers). Heat over low heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring from time to time.
  3. Let thicken
continue to simmer until the coulis thickens slightly. Remove fire and let cool at room temperature.
  4. Use and storage
once cooled, you can use this coulis to coat your ice cream or keep it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week.

My Personal Tip:

This maracuja coulis is perfect on a vanilla or coconut ice cream made with the Ninja Creami. It brings an incredible touch of freshness to sorbets and works as well to marble a homemade ice. And if you are a fan of fruity drinks, you can add this coulis to a lemonade or a tropical cocktail for a guaranteed "wow" effect!

Here is a fresh and tropical coulis that gives pep to any frozen dessert. With this maracuja coulis, your Ninja Creami creations will become even more exotic and delicious!
