Smarties, these little candies coated in colored chocolate, add a fun and festive touch to this frozen dessert. Originating from the United Kingdom, Smarties are loved for their crunch and vibrant bursts of color. In this creation, they bring an explosion of flavors to every bite of velvety ice cream. Get ready for a festival of sweet and colorful sensations!
Ingredients
18g Philadelphia cheese spread
55g caster sugar
1 teaspoon liquid vanilla extract
100ml 20% liquid cream
250ml whole milk
30g Smarties (or more depending on your preference)
Chocolate sauce for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, put the cheese spread and microwave it until softened.
Mix it with a spoon to get a smooth texture. Add the sugar and vanilla extract to the bowl, then mix well until the sugar is completely incorporated.
Gradually add the liquid cream and milk, mixing well until the mixture is homogeneous. - Pour the mixture into the Ninja Creami container.
Place the storage lid on and freeze for 24 hours. Remove the jar from the freezer and remove the lid. - Make sure the bowl is firmly in place in the appliance and select the "Ice Cream" program.
Start the cycle. Once the cycle is complete, run a second “Ice Cream Lite” cycle again.
After the second cycle, add 1 shot (or 1 tablespoon) of milk.
Reinsert the bowl into the device and press “RE-SPIN”. Continue to mix until you obtain a creamy and homogeneous texture. - Add the coarsely crumbled Smarties on top of the ice cream.
Generously pour the chocolate sauce over the Smarties.
Using a spoon, gently mix the Smarties and ice cream sauce.
Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious homemade McFlurry Smarties!
