Ingredients :

  • 500g of fresh pineapple (cut into pieces)
  • 100 ml of water
  • 80 g of sugar
  • 1 small red chili pepper (mild or hot, according to your taste), seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 pinch of salt (optional)

Preparation :

  1. Prepare the pineapple.
    Peel and cut the pineapple into pieces. Put it in a blender or food processor with the lemon juice.
  2. Prepare the chili syrup.
    In a small saucepan, heat the water and sugar over medium heat. Add the chopped chili and let it infuse for about 5 minutes to allow the chili to release its aromas. Remove from the heat and let it cool.
  3. Blend all the ingredients.
    Add the cooled chili syrup to the blender along with the pineapple chunks and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and homogeneous.
  4. Pour into the Ninja Creami container.
    Pour the mixture into the Ninja Creami container, being careful not to exceed the MAX FILL .
  5. Freezing:
    Place the container in the freezer and let it rest for 24 hours so that the preparation is completely solid.
  6. Churn with the Ninja Creami.
    Once the mixture is completely frozen, place the container in the Ninja Creami and use the "Sorbet" to obtain a smooth texture.
  7. Respin Option:
    If the sorbet is too firm after the first cycle, use the "Respin" . Add approximately 30 ml of liquid (such as water or pineapple juice) to soften and make the sorbet even creamier.

My Personal Tip:

This pineapple-chili sorbet is delicious served on its own or with coconut ice cream for an even more decadent contrast. For an ultra-refreshing dessert, you can also add it to a tropical drink, like a non-alcoholic Piña Colada, for a spicy and sweet twist!
