If you are a fan of deep and bewitching perfumes, the Tonka bean and dark chocolate ice cream is a real nugget! The Tonka bean, with its almond, vanilla and caramel notes, goes perfectly with the intensity of dark chocolate. This recipe will transport you with its rich and gourmet aromas, and as always, we will use the Ninja Creami to prepare it easily!
What you need:
- 200 ml of whole milk
- 100 ml of whole liquid cream
- 200 g of dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
- 1 tonka bean (to grate finely)
- 60 g of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Preparation :
- Melt the chocolate : in a saucepan, heat the milk and the cream over low heat. Once the mixture is very hot (without boiling), adds the dark chocolate cut into pieces. Stir gently until the chocolate is completely melted and you have a beautiful chocolate cream.
- Add the Tonka bean : finely grater the tonka bean directly in the hot mixture. Be careful not to put too much, because the tonka bean has a very powerful perfume. A semi-over is often enough to flavor your mirror in a subtle but persistent way. Also adds sugar and vanilla extract. Stir well to incorporate everything.
- Leave to cool : pour your chocolate and flavored mixture into a bowl and let it cool to room temperature. Once cold, place it in the refrigerator for at least an hour to cool it well.
- Freezing : Transfers your mixture into the Creami ninja jar and place it in the freezer for 24 hours. Patience, it will soon be ready!
- Transformation into ice : After freezing, place the pot in your Ninja Creami and launches the "ice" mode. If the texture is not smooth enough to your taste, you can add a tablespoon of milk and restart the cycle to obtain an even more creamy consistency.
- Tasting : Your ice cream and dark chocolate ice cream is ready to be savored. The complex notes of the Tonka bean will enhance the intense taste of dark chocolate. A real treat for lovers of gourmet and sophisticated desserts! You can also add dark chocolate shavings or a pinch of cocoa on top for a final touch.
