Ingredients :

  • 3 ripe pears (approximately 400g of flesh)
  • 80 ml of water
  • 80 g of sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean (or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract)
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 pinch of salt (optional)

Preparation :

  1. Prepare the pears
    : Peel and pit the pears, then cut them into pieces. Put them in a blender or food processor with the lemon juice.
  2. Prepare the vanilla syrup.
    In a small saucepan, heat the water and sugar over medium heat. Split the vanilla bean lengthwise, scrape out the seeds, and add them to the syrup (or use vanilla extract). Heat gently for about 5 minutes, then remove from the heat and let cool.
  3. Blend all the ingredients.
    Add the cooled vanilla syrup to the blender along with the pear pieces and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and homogeneous.
  4. Pour into the Ninja Creami container.

  5. Freezing:
    Place the container in the freezer and let it rest for 24 hours .
  6. Churn with the Ninja Creami.
    Once the preparation is well frozen, place the container in the Ninja Creami and use the "Sorbet" to obtain a smooth texture.
  7. Respin Option:
    If the sorbet is still too firm after the first cycle, use the "Respin" . Add approximately 30 ml of liquid (such as water or a little pear juice) to achieve an even creamier texture.

My Personal Tip:

This pear and vanilla sorbet is delicious on its own, but you can also pair it with a scoop of chocolate ice cream for a decadent contrast. For those who love texture, add some toasted hazelnut pieces as a topping or serve it with ladyfingers for a crunchy touch.
