The Yuzu sorbet is an explosion of freshness with lemon and floral notes. The Yuzu, a Japanese citrus, is distinguished by its unique flavor, halfway between lemon, tangerine and grapefruit. This sorbet is ideal for hot days, or as a light dessert after a generous meal.

Ingredients :

  • 200 ml of yuzu juice (you can find it in Asian or online grocery store)
  • 250 ml of water
  • 6 tablespoons of agave syrup (or adjust according to your taste)
  • 1 small pinch of salt (optional)

Preparation :

  1. Mix the ingredients
    in a bowl, mix the yuzu juice, water, agave syrup, lemon juice and a small pinch of salt. Taste to adjust the sweet/acid level according to your preferences.
  2. Pour into the Ninja Creami container
    transfers the preparation in the Ninja Creami container, taking care not to exceed the Max Fill . Then put the container in the freezer for 24 hours .
  3. Turbine with the Sorbet program
    after 24 hours, inserts the container in the Ninja Creami and selects the "Sorbet" . In a few minutes, you will have a tangy and perfectly smooth sorbet.
  4. Respin tip
    If the texture is too firm after the first cycle, uses the "Respin" and adds about 30 ml of water to adjust the consistency.

My Personal Tip:

This yuzu sorbet is delicious as is, but you can sublimate it with lemon or yuzu zest for even more perfume. If you want to add a touch of crunch, serve it with a few tapered almonds or meringue bursts.
