Ingredients :

  • 100g of soft butter
  • 100g of brown sugar
  • 50g of white sugar
  • 150g of flour (heat-treated, see tip)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons of milk (or plant-based milk)
  • 100g of chocolate chips
  • 1 pinch of salt

Preparation :

  1. Prepare the flour.
    To make the flour safe to eat raw, spread it on a baking sheet and heat it in the oven at 150°C for 5 to 10 minutes. This kills any bacteria that may be present in the flour.
  2. Cream the butter and sugars.
    In a bowl, mix the softened butter with the brown sugar and white sugar. Use a whisk or spatula to thoroughly incorporate the ingredients and obtain a creamy texture.
  3. Add the vanilla and milk.
    Stir in the vanilla extract and gradually add the milk to achieve a slightly softer consistency. If the batter is too thick, add an extra tablespoon of milk.
  4. Incorporate the flour.
    Add the cooled flour and mix well until fully incorporated. The dough should be smooth, neither too dry nor too runny.
  5. Add the chocolate chips.
    Finally, incorporate the chocolate chips into the batter. Mix gently to distribute them evenly.
  6. Store your dough!
    Transfer the cookie dough to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator. It can keep for about a week, but it's often devoured long before then!
