Ingredients :

  • 300 g fresh or frozen raspberries (fresh ones always taste great!)
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of water

Preparation :

  1. Prepare the raspberries
If you are using fresh raspberries, start by rinsing them gently. For frozen ones, you can use them directly. Nothing could be simpler!
  2. Heat the ingredients
In a small saucepan, combine the raspberries, sugar, water and lemon juice. Heat over medium heat and cook gently for 5 to 10 minutes, until the raspberries begin to break down. I guarantee the smell is just irresistible!
  3. Pass through a sieve
For a smooth coulis, use a sieve or fine strainer to remove the seeds. If you're like me, you love the velvety texture of grout without chunks. You can use a spatula to press the pulp well and extract all the juice.
  4. Let it cool
Let the coulis cool before pouring it into a pretty container. Once cooled, you can store it in the fridge for about two weeks. But honestly, it never lasts long at my house!

Ninja Creami Tip:

This raspberry coulis goes wonderfully with vanilla ice cream or even chocolate ice cream prepared with your Ninja Creami. It provides a perfect contrast between the tartness of the raspberry and the sweetness of the ice cream. And for the more adventurous, why not try it on coconut or yogurt ice cream? A little fruity touch that makes all the difference.
