Why is El Mordjene so talked about?

It all started on TikTok, where El Mordjene captivated foodies. In a few weeks, this Algerian spread invaded the supermarkets, and the jars sold like hotcakes. Then, a twist: the European Commission banned the product due to health standards, in particular the lack of certification for certain ingredients. But don't worry, it's easy to prepare at home!

Now that you have this dough ready, here's how to transform it into a delicious ice cream with your Ninja Creami.

El Mordjene ice cream recipe with Ninja Creami

Ingredients for 1 serving:
  • 4 to 5 tablespoons of El Mordjene spread (depending on the intensity of the desired taste)
  • 200 ml whole milk or almond milk (if you prefer a lactose-free option)
  • 2 tablespoons of liquid cream (optional for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar (or more depending on your taste)
  • 1 pinch of salt
Instructions :
  1. Dilute the El Mordjene dough :
    • In a small saucepan, gently heat the milk and cream over low heat. Add the El Mordjene spread to the mixture and stir regularly until it is well dissolved and integrated. Do not boil, the goal is to simply thin out the paste.
  2. Add sugar and salt :
    • Once the paste is well diluted, add the sugar and a pinch of salt. Mix until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Freezing :
    • Pour the mixture into the container provided for the Ninja Creami. Cover it well and place it in the freezer for at least 24 hours. The texture will be perfect after complete freezing.
  4. Transformation into ice :
    • Once the mixture is frozen, remove the container from the freezer and place it in your Ninja Creami. Use the “Ice Cream” to transform the mixture into a smooth, creamy ice cream. If necessary, you can restart the machine once to obtain an even smoother consistency.
  5. Personalization :
    • Add toppings like crushed hazelnuts, melted chocolate, or a drizzle of caramel for even more deliciousness.
Trick :

If the texture of the ice cream seems too firm after the first transformation, do not hesitate to use the “Re-spin” with 5 tablespoons of Ninja Creami milk to further smooth your ice cream.
